The University now invites application for the following position: 

Technician – Information Technology Services Centre (Ref: Tech (ITSC) 2023-08-18) 

Responsibilities: 

• install, configure and monitor hardware and software;
• supervise student helpers;
• provide IT/AV support for teaching activities, and users and help desk operation;
• diagnose and solve technical issues;
• manage and control IT/AV facilities in the University;
• support University’s events and set up corresponding IT/AV equipment; and
• assist in vendor management, inventory, budget and maintenance for IT/AV equipment.  

Applicants should: 

• possess a higher diploma or above qualification in related discipline;   
• preferably have at least 1 year of relevant work experience;  
• have good knowledge of IT/AV technologies;
• have good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• be pleasant with positive mindset, good customer sense and willing to learn new technologies.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings and on weekends.  Work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.
