We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office for Advancement of Learning and Teaching (ALTO):
Multimedia Technology Manager / Systems Analyst
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI-driven systems for enhancing teaching and learning, such as AI marking, face recognition, and AI presentation mentoring.
Administering, maintaining, and enhancing existing systems.
Enhancing multimedia components and implementing interactive activities/components for courses to support AI-driven learning experiences.
Providing technical support to end-users, particularly in the context of AI tools and applications.
Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement of Learning and Teaching and his/her nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence:
A recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in programming and web systems design, focusing on AI applications. Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Analyst Programmer.
Hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, Machine Learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI SDK).
Solid experience in web development (Node.js, Python, PHP) and frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, Nuxt.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Laravel)
Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Vue, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON).
Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
Experience in mobile app development (React Native, Flutter) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate institutional needs into technical solutions.
A good command of English.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
