Assistant Public Affairs Officer (PAO) (Ref:25000N5)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Public Affairs Office (PAO) is seeking a self-motivated candidate for the following post:
- Providing secretarial support to the Director of Public Affairs;
- Supporting the Director of Public Affairs in office administration, coordination and liaison with internal and external parties at various levels;
- Handling budget matters and preparing regular budget status and regular office reports;
- Providing clerical and logistic support to the University’s events;
- Providing general administrative and logistic support to the daily operations of the Office; and
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Affairs or his/her nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- At least 5 subjects with Level 2 or above in HKDSE, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in secretarial duties, handling budget matters, general administration and event support;
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (preferably in Putonghua as well);
- Good knowledge of computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese word processing;
- Proficiency in WordPress, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is an advantage;
- Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, and attention to details;
- Self-motivated, fast learning and able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and can-do spirit; and
- Flexible and willing to work outside office hours when required.
