We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the LiPACE:
Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer (LiPACE) (Ref.: 25000N6)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Organizing and conducting English language workshops, with a particular focus on IELTS preparation;
Facilitating training for study applications and employment, including CV writing and mock interviews;
Conducting English enhancement lectures specifically tailored for Mainland students;
Conducting academic study skills classes for students on topics such as academic integrity, effective writing and presentation skills;
Providing guidance to students on enhancing general conversational and writing technique;
Participating in School/University activities and administration; and
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (LiPACE) or his/her nominee.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
Native or near-native fluency in English teacher;
A higher degree in English Language or a related discipline;
Experience in teaching English as a second language preferred;
Teaching/administration experience in tertiary/continuing education and/or professional experience in related subject areas preferred; and
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
The level of appointment depends on the candidate's academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc.
