We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Planning and Analysis:
Analyst Programmer (OPA) (Ref: 25000O4)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Designing, developing, testing and deploying new systems;
Administering, maintaining and enhancing existing systems and dashboards;
Providing technical support to end users; and
Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Office of Planning and Analysis
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree with post-qualification experience, in computer science, data science, statistics, business analytics or related areas;
Solid experience in web application development with Python, Node.js, PHP and R;
In-depth knowledge of HTML5 markup languages and scripting languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and CSS3;
Experience of web development framework/library such as Django and Plotly;
Prior working experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, MS SQL Analysis Service, and Power BI) is preferred.
Good communication skills in both English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
