Part-time Research Assistant(s) (Project No: R6715) (E&L) (Ref: 25000KR)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Video recording or documenting the teaching process during the observations;
• Conducting focus group interviews; and
• Performing administrative tasks, such as communicating with school teachers, recording videos of experimental classes, and initial data organization for the research.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A bachelor's degree in education, Chinese language, linguistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred;
• Prior experience in educational research, including data collection and analysis, with familiarity in creative teaching strategies and classical Chinese texts;
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) for quantitative data analysis and qualitative research methods for conducting interviews and observations; and
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration with teachers, students, and researchers.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate(s) will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
