The Department is looking for a skillful, self-motivated and high caliber candidate with knowledge in different disciplines and have management experience.

Duties & responsibilities of the appointee include: 

1. Manage all CIVL laboratories by administering personnel arrangement, setting key responsibility assignments and coordinating the shared resources for technical staff;
2. Providing administrative and technical support to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs;
3. Assist in all aspects of administration and program work in the department, including academic and non-academic personnel matters;
4. Conduct budget planning for Department Head’s approval and manage the lab recurrent expenses in accordance with the formulated budget;
5. Manage and coordinate the development and renovation of teaching and research laboratories; and
6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant discipline with at least 15 years’ post qualification experience. Candidates should have a good command in both written and spoken in English and Chinese. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
