About The Client

Our client is a heritage healthcare business with global business operations. They are known for their dedication in manufacturing affordable high-quality over-the-counter and ethical drugs. To cope with their expansion plans, they are now inviting a Head of Corporate Partnerships & Development to diversify their healthcare product portfolio through new product development, and to drive business growth in international markets.

About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading the business development and procurement teams in the corporate office, you will develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to diversify product pipeline, omnichannel sales channels and market share in Hong Kong, China and other international markets. Being a visionary leader and possessing strong insights and understanding of the health and wellness market to capitalize emerging opportunities is pivotal for this role, you will continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities through partnerships, joint ventures, licensing agreements, co-branded and product collaborations with local and international corporations, retailers, healthcare and wellness providers, and other potential partners. You will lead negotiation of high-impact partnership and business agreements that complies with regulatory standards and company policies. You will build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, industry leaders, and decision makers to foster long-term alliances. Working closely with cross-functional departments in business development, marketing, research and development, manufacturing, regulatory affairs and quality assurance on new product development and launches. Lastly, you will manage and track partnership performance metrics, revenue growth, ROI to senior leadership team to measure the overall effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' business development and/or corporate partnership experience in consumer health, wellness, nutrition, and pharmaceutical sectors in Hong Kong and China.
  • Possess strong knowledge in product commercialization, regulatory compliance, and financial management for project financing.
  • Exceptional business acumen with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
