Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance activities for investment funds, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and review of fund tax returns across various jurisdictions
• Provide tax insights on fund formations, investment structures, and cross-border transactions while evaluating the tax implications of investment activities
• Generate and review tax reports for fund investors, addressing their inquiries and documentation needs
• Stay updated on tax legislation affecting fund structures in the Asia Pacific region and implement processes to maintain compliance with evolving regulations

Requirements

• Require 8-12 years of tax experience with a strong focus on investment fund taxation, preferably with experience at a Big Four accounting firm and in-house roles in investment management or technology firms
• Must hold at least one professional tax-related qualification in a relevant jurisdiction, with a preference for a tax-related qualification or license in the United States
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of fund tax structures, partnership taxation, withholding tax regulations, and tax treaties, along with an understanding of tax considerations for different asset classes
• Experience in private equity, venture capital, or other alternative investment vehicles is essential, with familiarity in the financial technology sector as an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in English is essential, and Mandarin language skills are highly valued
