An entrepreneurial family office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented investment professional to support the evaluation, execution, and management of real estate investments in Japan.

Our Client is an expanding family office with a long-term strategic focus on the Japanese real estate market.

Description

• Identify and evaluate potential real estate investment opportunities across Japan
• Research and monitor local market trends, regulations, and macroeconomic factors affecting real estate
• Build relationships with brokers, developers, and local partners
• Prepare investment memos, cash flow models (DCF, IRR, equity waterfalls), and sensitivity analyses
• Conduct property-level due diligence (financial, legal, tax, and physical)
• Assist in structuring transactions (direct acquisitions, joint ventures, debt financing)
• Support negotiations and closing processes
• Collaborate with legal/tax advisors and local operators
• Monitor asset performance, budgets, and investor reporting

Profile

• Candidates with minimum of 8 years of experience at investment banking, family offices, REITs, real estate funds, or property developers
• Knowledge of cross-border real estate regulations, taxes, and transaction processes
• Strong financial modeling skills (Excel) and familiarity with real estate valuation methods
• Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently in a small-team environment
• Good command of spoken Japanese (business-level)
