The Department seeks an outstanding applicant to teach modules related to Asian Studies, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and other general education modules.  He/She will also be expected to

assist in programme management and development and other administrative duties. 

Responsibilities:  

• planning, development, coordination and delivery of undergraduate social sciences courses;
• teach general education courses;
• engage in research, scholarly and administration activities; and
• perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should: 

• possess a Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, such as sociology or public policy, with a focus on sustainable development, public health or population studies;
• have a strong track record of academic experience in tertiary teaching; and
• have a strong record of relevant administrative experience in tertiary education.

Applicants who can teach with an Asian focus would be a strong advantage. 

The appointee is expected to assume duty in January 2024.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
