This role will lead their compliance department comprising of legal, AML, and general compliance. This role will have a strong oversight of their AML function.

Our client is a reputable and large organization in the financial services sector with a strong focus on fintech. Based in Hong Kong, they are looking to expand their business into insurance and SFC regulated activities on top of their strong banking presence.

Description

As the Head of Compliance, your main responsibilities will include:

• Report directly to the head of firm whilst managing a team of 15 staff across AML, Legal and Compliance
• Will be the main point of contact with the IA, HKMA, and SFC
• Responsible for overseeing all AML matters as well as general compliance matters
• Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance program.
• Ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Providing guidance and advice on compliance matters to the management team.
• Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.

Profile

A successful Head of Compliance should have:

• A solid educational background in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of AML experience from virtual bank, fintech, insurance, and/or retail banking industry
• preferable if have general/regulatory compliance experience as well
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Must be fluent in mandarin, Cantonese, and mandarin. Must be able to read and write chinese.
