The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Associate Fintech Director (Commercial Data Interchange)

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage proof-of-concept projects of Commercial Data Interchange (CDI), exploring new business use cases (e.g. credit analytics, KYC, etc) and leveraging alternative data with existing and prospective CDI partners
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners and government agencies to implement fintech initiatives related to data and CDI’s data ecosystem
• Manage and liaise with service providers to support CDI system design, development, maintenance and operation
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategies to modernise Hong Kong’s financial market infrastructure
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on global data initiatives and novel technologies, distilling insights for potential enhancements of CDI

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in business administration, information technology, project management or related fields
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in fintech, finance or banking
• Strong organisational skills, attention to details and with ability to multitask
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Well-versed in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
   

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Senior Data Analyst level. Selected candidate will be seconded to work in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited)
