The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position: 

Senior Fintech Officer 

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to various fintech development and innovation initiatives of the Fintech Facilitation Officer (FFO), particularly in central bank digital currencies, distributed ledger technologies, and artificial intelligence
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and technology firms, to promote different fintech initiatives
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging fintech trends, technologies, and regulatory developments
• Contribute to report-writing and the development of presentation slides to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
   

Requirements

• University degree in business, economics, finance, a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) subject or related fields
• At least three years of solid professional work experience in project management and / or research. Hands-on fintech experience an advantage
• Excellent writing skills and well-versed in MS PowerPoint, with experience in presenting complex technical topics in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Data visualisation skills highly preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and attention to details, along with a track record in managing multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritising tasks effectively
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua a plus
   

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Officer level.) 

Conditions of service

• Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
