The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Associate Director (Financial Market Infrastructure Services - InnoLab) 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on financial market infrastructure (FMI) modernisation and fintech topics (e.g. bond tokenisation, Central Bank Digital Currency, payment innovations, and central securities depositories)
• Prepare reports, whitepapers and technical documentation on emerging technologies taking into account relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as international best practices
• Support project management and execution in coordination with internal departments and external vendors, ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations and reports on FMI and fintech subjects

 
Requirements

• University degree, preferably in business administration, information technology, law or related fields
• At least three years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of key FMI, emerging technologies such as blockchain, cloud computing, AI, and asset tokenisation a plus
• Flexible and with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Well-versed in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good command of both English and Chinese, including Putonghua
   

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Senior Systems Analyst level. Selected candidate will be seconded to work in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited)
