Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Managing all aspects of event planning and coordination, ensuring seamless operations and successful outcomes;
- Leading a team of event staff and helpers, providing guidance, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative working environment;
- Collaborating with stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors to establish strong partnerships, facilitate effective communication, and drive event success;
- Preparing promotional materials to support marketing strategies, attract attendees, and enhance audience engagement;
- Evaluating event performance, collecting feedback, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and drive future event enhancements; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized bachelor's degree, with equivalent qualifications or extensive experience in event management;
- Proven experience in organizing and managing conferences or large events, demonstrating strong logistical and planning skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with stakeholders, speakers, and attendees;
- Strong leadership skills to coordinate a team and manage event staff effectively;
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure to ensure the success of the conference;
- Proficiency in Graphic and Webpage Design, with previous experience in this area being beneficial.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. The initial contract will be for one year. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
