Background
EDU 8846ECD「專業技巧：小學中國語文教學（教學實習）」，是教育證書課程的核心科目。它佔六個學分，是 8000 程度的實習科目，為期一個學年，以中文（粵語）教授。
本科旨在使學員了解香港小學的教育環境與小學中文科的重要教學理論、通曉小學中文教學的各種方法與技巧，以及掌握教學反思的技能，從而具備持續專業發展的能力。
EDU 8846ECD Professional Skills: Teaching Chinese Language in Primary School (Practicum) is a 6-credit-unit, 8000-level, and year-long course for students of the Certificate in Education programme (distance-learning mode). This course is presented in Chinese (Cantonese).
This course aims to enable students to understand the educational environment of primary schools in Hong Kong and the important teaching theories of Chinese in primary schools, to be familiar with various methods and techniques of Chinese teaching in primary schools, and to master the skills of teaching reflection, so as to have the ability of continuous professional development.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
- Preparing a course guide;
- Developing new course contents;
- Developing teaching and learning materials; and
- Developing assessment items.
Candidates
Candidates are expected to possess the following:
- A higher degree, and preferably an earned doctoral degree, in an area related to primary school education, Chinese education, Chinese or other related areas;
- An excellent command of written Chinese, effective communication skills and the ability to work independently; and
- Preference will be given to those who have experience in designing teaching and/or materials design at tertiary level.
