Our client is a well-known bank with global operations. Currently, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager with Accounting background to support their Finance Core function of their Insurance Transformation.

Description

• Understanding finance processes like management information, ledger closing, and reporting.
• Taking ownership of change projects, acting as the Finance lead on project teams to define solutions and assess impacts on processes.
• Lead on new developments with excellent skills in project management, insurance product knowledge, finance systems and accounting knowledge as well as the capacity to learn and support on IFRS 17 accounting entries / process definition
• Leading user testing, updating documentation, and training finance teams on new processes.
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders affecting Finance processes (e.g., Actuarial, Global Finance Operations Centre, Software and Change Delivery teams).
• Ensuring Finance needs are met during project design.
• Supporting stakeholder management and supervising Assistant Managers.

Profile

• Bachelor degree
• Solid accounting background, ideally with insurance product knowledge.
• Project management skills and experience in process/system change.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 and finance systems.
• Previous work experience in an insurance company or professional firm is highly desirable.
• CPA qualification or active pursuit is a plus.
