THE COMPANY :

- Primary packaging products including but not limited to : glass bottle for high-end skincare serums, metal lipstick case, ceramic jar for luxury face cream.
- Main clients : international luxurious beauty, cosmetic & skin care brands
- Main market : France and Europe;
- Minor market : US and Asia
- We are looking for PRIMARY PACKAGING MANAGER – with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Lead the design, sourcing, and implementation of luxury primary packaging solutions for international beauty, cosmetic, and skincare brands in France and Europe.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create packaging that aligns with brand aesthetics and functionality requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with premium packaging suppliers to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery.
- Support sales development initiatives, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative packaging solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and grow the client base.
- Supervise one subordinate, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure seamless execution of packaging projects, especially in technical matters requiring engineering input.
- Utilize substantial technical experience in metal, plastic, glass, and ceramic materials to develop high-quality and innovative packaging solutions.
- Evaluate and select suitable materials for luxury packaging that meet client requirements and sustainability goals.
- Focus on understanding the French and European luxury markets, keeping abreast of trends and innovations in packaging materials and design.
- Oversee the testing and quality assurance process to ensure all packaging meets luxury branding standards and complies with European regulatory requirements.
- Resolve any issues related to packaging performance or client feedback.
- Manage packaging development timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within scope.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of packaging projects.
- Tertiary education / Diploma holder is preferable
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role focused on development and sourcing of primary packaging within the luxury beauty industry.
- Proven expertise in handling and working with metal, plastic, glass, and ceramic materials for packaging.
- Deep knowledge of luxury packaging materials, designs, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with French and European market regulations and cultural nuances in luxury branding.
- Fluency in English & Chinese
- Occasional China trips is required
- 5 days work
- 13 months salary + performance bonus
