They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Director to join our dynamic team and oversee our legal operations both in Hong Kong and internationally.

Description

• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's business objectives. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including data protection, financial services, and consumer protection laws.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and customer agreements. Ensure all contracts align with the company's legal and business interests.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in Hong Kong and other key markets. Advise senior management on potential legal risks and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Work closely with external legal counsel as needed.
• Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the legal department.
• Provide legal support for cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's operations. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.

Profile

• Qualified lawyer, with 8+ PQE in the fintech or financial services industry.
• Admission to practice law in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction.
• Proven track record in managing legal teams and overseeing complex legal matters.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
