Duties:The appointee will be responsible for providing support for research projects on educational assessment. Major duties include but not limited to data collection, data analysis, preparation of reports and documents, project co-ordination and other administrative duties.

Requirements:

(a) A recognized university degree in education/research, a higher degree in a related area is preferred;

(b) At least 6 years’ working experience in research, preferably in educational assessment;

(c) Good knowledge of Educational Measurement, including the Classical Test Theory and the Item Response Theory;

(d) Hands-on experience using statistical and IRT computer software and programing using FoxPro, VBA and SPSS; Good knowledge of analysis design and result interpretation;

(e) Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

(f) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage; and

(g) Candidate with less working experience may be considered as Officer – Assessment Technology and Research.

Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will initially be on a fixed-term contract with MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
