Duties: Under the supervision of a manager, the Officer will act as the data centre operations in-charge of the HKEAA. The job holder will have to lead a team of operators to provide daily operation support and facilities management so as to maintain the IT resources in the data centres and related facilities rooms. Apart from managing the basic data centre facilities (ventilation systems, temperature and humidity sensors, UPS, fire suppression systems, etc), involvement in IT operations policy and procedure compilation is also required. Occasionally, he/she will also be assigned to complete data centre or IT infrastructure related projects.
Requirements:
(a) A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines;
(b) 5 years’ working experience with in data centre support and management, including hands-on technical skills in Linux/Unix/Windows systems;
(c) At least 3 years of supervisory/ team leader experience;
(d) Experience with VMware and HCI solution are advantageous;
(e) No overnight work shift is required;
(f) Good knowledge of quality assurance methodology, standards and framework (e.g. ISO20000-1:2018, ISO27001:2013) and ITIL disciplines; and
(g) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
