Company Overview

Duties: Reporting to the Manager – Information Technology, the appointee is responsible for the role of IT infrastructure support and the configuration, administration and troubleshooting of the Authority’s IT infrastructure.  The infrastructure includes, network technology, server solutions and data centre operations. The officer will have to plan for the daily technical operations, in particular related to manage computer network, coordinate with vendors and business partners, supervise contractors and internal staff, facilitate the daily control, and accomplish the goal as set by the IT Division.  The appointee will have to provide technical solution in the respective areas, co-work with other IT staff on projects and assignments, review systems and network for continuous improvement, alongside with the daily system operations and maintenance work. 
 
Requirements:
(a) A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines;
(b) At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure technical support role, experiences with large-scale network is an advantage;
(c) Strong technical know-how and hands on experience in one or multiple domains (firewall, Wi-Fi, network monitoring and management tools, VPN, Proxy, Anti-spam, TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, Internet), with appropriate certification preferred (e.g. ITIL, CISSP, CCNA);
(d) Experience in server operating system support (e.g. Windows, Linux) and server virtualization technology is an advantage;
(e) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
(f) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
 
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Officer – Information Technology (Infrastructure)
 
Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
