WEB DEVELOPER & DATA ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

(Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm)

We are looking to recruit a career-oriented Web Developer & Administration Officer, whose main responsibility will be to maintain & develop customised applications as required by the school as well as take part in the data administration tasks of the Data Office. The position holder will also have the additional responsibility to provide technical backup support for the school’s website as and when needed. The successful candidate will be a strong team player who is able to work independently. This position is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wishes to work for a company that will help them build further IT and developer skills/knowledge and further their career with us. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, analyse and evaluate user requirements for systems & databases to be developed 
• Build database driven applications to support administration and academic needs 
• Maintain, improve, enhance, and modify existing applications as needed 
• Support any other relevant application development and integration work on the school network 
• Provide (on-site and remote) help desk support for data and application related enquiries/requests
• Assist with data design, collection, analysis, entry, manipulation, integration and implementation as required 
• Provide technical backup support for the school’s website  
• Other tasks as assigned by IT Manager, Data & Information Services Manager and Director of Technology 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or similar subject 
• Ability to analyse user requirements and convert that into a programme 
• Knowledge or experience (or willingness to get trained) in the following development technology is an advantage: Front-end - C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Back-end - Windows. C#, VB and .NET Framework 
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases 
• Should be able to read and write basic SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions 
• ADO.NET & LINQ to SQL 
• Familiarity with WordPress, common cyber security and web hosting fundamentals
• Experience working integrating with HTTP API and JSON is a plus
