THE JOB

Reporting to the Head Cycling Coach, the Cycling Coach (Track Endurance) will be responsible for the following duties:

• To coordinate, design, and implement training programmes for elite track endurance riders in Hong Kong;
• To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
• To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
• To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports on athletes’ training progress;
• To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
• To supervise Assistant Coaches and part-time coaches;
• To assist the HKSI and The Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China with the detection pathway of youth riders; and
• To assist the HKSI and The Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China with coach education programmes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• A University degree or its equivalent;
• A valid Cycling coaching certificate issued by the relevant governing body;
• A minimum of 5 years professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching elite track endurance riders at world level;
• International experience and background as a cyclist is an advantage;
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English or Chinese;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

主要職責

單車教練(場地 - 中長距離)須向單車總教練匯報工作情況，其職責詳列如下：

• 負責籌劃、設計和執行香港場地單車中長距離精英運動員訓練計劃；
• 在進行精英訓練計劃時，善用所有運動科學、醫療及其他為運動員而設的支援服務，以加強訓練成果；
• 透過全面性、多方位和定期評估，以監察運動員的表現
• 對運動員的訓練進度提交適時及具分析性的進度報告；
• 負責運動員於本地及海外訓練及比賽的行政工作；
• 督導助理教練及兼職教練的工作；
• 協助體育學院及中國香港單車總會甄選青少年車手；及
• 協助體育學院及中國香港單車總會的教練培訓工作。

職位要求

• 大學學位或同等學歷；
• 持有由相關管理機構頒發有效的單車教練証書資歷；
• 具備最少五年專業教練經驗，及曾帶領場地單車中長距離運動員在國際級或同等水平賽事中獲得優異成績；
• 曾為單車運動員及擁有國際賽經驗者為佳；
• 具備良好溝通能力及人際關係；
• 在英語或中文方面具有出色的書面和口頭溝通能力；
• 熟悉電腦操作；及
• 認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策為佳。
