The University now invites application for the following position: 

Assistant Officer / Executive Assistant – School of Communication (Ref: AO/EA(SCOM) 2025-04-03) 

The appointee is expected to provide administrative support for the School and postgraduate programmes. 

Responsibilities: 

• assist in planning, organising and handling marketing activities, admission exercises, student affairs and day-to-day management of the programme(s);
• coordinate programme-related activities and student events;
• create and maintain contents on social media platforms;
• work closely with module teachers to support programme delivery;
• liaise with internal and external parties to ensure the provision of high-quality programme services; and
• provide secretarial support for committees.

Applicants should: 

• possess a recognised bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism and Communication or a related discipline, with 2 years of relevant work experience;
• have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
• be proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
• possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
• be self-motivated and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility; and
• have a service-oriented mindset with good marketing sense.

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours.  Work experience in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage.  Applicants with less experience will be considered as Executive Assistant.
