Engineering Discipline

Major Duties:
(a) To perform teaching, including assisting in the supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement, in the areas of Communication and computer networks, Embedded System, Digital & Analog Electronics, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data and Digital Forensics, Internet-of-Things and Sensor Technology, Object-oriented and Mobile Device Programming, Mobile Technology and Networking, Control and Automation and other engineering subjects;
(b) To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c) To assist in developing programme curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment materials and facilities;
(d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
(e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree in Computer and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b) Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience; and
(c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.

Notes:
(1) The initial posting is IVE (Sha Tin). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit operational needs.
(2) The post is in the rank of Teaching Associate.
(3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(4) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
