Major Duties:
(a) To assist in drafting tender documents of term contracts and minor projects and in scrutinising tenders including checking errors, evaluation of tenders and preparing recommendations;
(b) To assist in preparing letters of award and formal contract documents;
(c) To assist in collecting financial data for updating budgetary records for repair and maintenance (R&M) works, alterations, additions and improvement (AA&I) projects including furniture and equipment (F&E);
(d) To check and comment on bond and insurance policies and to assist in monitoring the submission status;
(e) To check and measure the quantity of materials for completed works and / or materials on site;
(f) To check and assess star rates, claims and variations submitted from contractors;
(g) To liaise with contractors for payment / invoice submission status and to recommend payment to contractors and prepare payment certificates;
(h) To check and assess the calculation of fluctuation adjustments in term contracts; and
(i) To assist in the settlement of final accounts.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in building studies / quantity surveying, or equivalent;
(b) Preferably with basic knowledge in building services works or experience in handling site measurements, claims in building and building services term contracts; and
(c) Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Excel.
Note:
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
