COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

Founded by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) oversees the operations of the Hong Kong Community College which offers quality sub-degree programmes for secondary school leavers and the School of Professional Education and Executive Development which offers professionally oriented academic award programmes for persons at various stages of their career, including top-up degree awards for associate degree and higher diploma graduates. There are four Academic Divisions in CPCE, namely Division of Business and Hospitality Management, Division of Languages and Communication, Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies and Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design.

The College now invites applications for the following posts:

Division of Languages and Communication

Visiting Lecturer (part-time) in the following subject areas (several posts):

▪ Academic English (Ref. 211217-01)
▪ Chinese (Ref. 211217-02)
▪ Media and Communication / Journalism (Ref. 211217-03)

Appointees will be required to teach during daytime or evening and undertake teaching-related duties.

Applicants should have (a) a master’s degree in the subject area applied for; (b) not less than two years of relevant post-qualification teaching and/or industrial experience; (c) proficiency in English and/or Chinese (as called for by the subject areas concerned), and (d) good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

For the subject area of Chinese, applicants should have proficiency in Cantonese and proficiency in Putonghua (comparable to Grade A in Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi) is preferred.

Appointees may be stationed on PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus or PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

Remuneration

Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
