The Urban Renewal Strategy, which was promulgated in February 2011, states that the Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) may provide assistance to owners as consultant to help them assemble titles for commencing owner-initiated redevelopment. To this end, the URA has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Urban Redevelopment Facilitating Services Company Limited (“URFS”) which is holding an estate agent’s licence, to provide the consultation services to interested owners under the Facilitating Services Scheme.

Assistant Manager, Facilitation, Acquisition and Clearance

 

Responsibilities:

  • To act as team leader to supervise frontline staff in discharging duties for the provision of facilitating services and daily operation of URFS
  • To provide on-the-job training and guidance to subordinates
  • To assist in preparing reports to the management, relevant committees and panels of the Authority for monitoring purpose
  • To provide inputs in policy matters and formulation of strategies and making decisions on issues relating to the facilitating services
  • To act as a representative of URFS to communicate with property owners and consultants appointed for the facilitation projects
  • To assist in the improvement of Urban Redevelopment Information System and oversee the database updating process carried out by frontline staff
  • To assist in the preparation of budget and business plan
  • To direct and co-ordinate searches carried out by frontline staff for replacement premises for shop operators affected by redevelopment projects and liaise with corresponding project teams in Acquisition and Clearance Division (ACD)
  • To provide support to ACD on acquisition and clearance matters when needed

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in surveying or building / housing / property management related discipline with not less than 5 years’ relevant work experience
  • Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors / The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors / The Chartered Institute of Housing / The Hong Kong Institute of Housing
  • Holder of Estate Agent / Salesperson Licence under the Estate Agents Ordinance (Cap 511)
  • Good communication skill with good Chinese and English
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge in computer software
  • Willing to work outdoors and outside normal office hours
