Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Training Assistant will focus on four major areas of work but not limited to these areas only, including the following job duties:
1. Management of the Social Work Development Fund:
- a. Planning of staff training programmes and courses in accordance to the Fourth 5 year plan of the Federation
- Develop strategies to engage staff in active learning and applied learning
- Monitor the yearly budget and manage procurement
- Research and analysis of staff training needs
- Assessment on training outcomes and cost effectiveness
- Production of training statistics and reports
2. Assist in constructing a structure of Core Competency for Professional Youth Workers
- design of a core competency structure as a guideline for staff to build their professional capabilities according to their roles and duties
- deploy strategies to engage staff in building capabilities and service innovation
- design curriculum of professional youth work training for both internal and external training
- production of e-learning materials and training videos for online staff training
- conducting “Best Practice” case study sharing and write up of case materials
3. Assist in Staff Engagement:
- Organising “community of practice” discussion, ideas pitching event, staff engagement meetings, etc.
- Production and writing of internal e-bulletin
- Improvement of internal communications through social media or mobile app
4. Management of routine staff training programmes and administrative work:
- design and production of staff training manual and promotional items
- operation of staff training programmes/courses, including course content design, liaison with vendor, course enrollment, preparation of course materials, monitoring of course delivery, attendance management, course evaluation, follow-up on training records and reports, etc.
- procurement handling, handling course payment and budget monitoring
- efficient and accurate management of staff training records
- compilation of staff training progress reports and statistics
- work with internal IT unit to manage and maintain internal staff e-learning system
Entry Requirements
Study Fields:
- Bachelor degree in social sciences or education an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good Command of both English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
- High proficiency in ICT and social media application, creative media skills an advantage.
- Good communications skills and people oriented.
- Highly efficient in programme planning, administrative work and good at numbers.
- Creative and a team player.
