The School of Engineering invites applications for the position of Student Wellness Manager. The appointee will report to Associate Dean of the School and be responsible for:
The appointee is expected to work in close collaboration with academic departments and non-academic offices to help students resolve personal concerns and acquire the coping skills, attitudes, abilities and insights that will enable them to meet the challenges of student life. Irregular working hours may be required.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology, counseling, social work or education with a sound track record of post-qualification work experience relevant to the area of youth development. They should be fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English. Excellent communication and sophisticated interpersonal skills, knowledge of counseling skills and therapeutic treatment, as well as group work and crisis intervention skills, are required. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated ability to work with students at tertiary educational level, and have enthusiasm for enhancing the educational goals of university students. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
