Strategic Planner (2-Year Contract)

Company Overview

Applications are invited for the above post in the Hong Kong Business Development & Support Branch of Business Strategy & Innovation Department. The appointee will take up the roles and responsibility including but not limited to the following:

 

Major Duties:

  • Play a leading role to formulate and implement CLP’s new energy saving initiatives.
  • Drive to deliver different energy saving programmes with target performance.
  • Liaise with Government on new energy saving initiatives’ related issues.
  • Evaluate energy saving project proposals (including retro-commissioning) submitted by customers applying for CLP funding to assure their validity, cost effectiveness and compliance with Hong Kong SAR Government’s energy efficiency related ordinances.
  • Liaise with customers on necessary energy saving project documents to fulfil requirements of CLP’s funding schemes.
  • Prepare funding agreement for approved applications, its administration, variations, payments, negotiating and resolving claims/disputes with applicants.
  • Organize regular meetings and liaise with Vetting Committee for funding application assessment and approval.
  • Conduct on-site verification of energy saving installations before and after project completion.
  • Monitor project progress and verify post-installation energy saving performance.
  • Implement necessary promotional and administrative activities of CLP’s funding scheme.

 

Requirements:

  • A recognized University degree in the field of Building Services, Mechanical or related disciplines, plus at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Possession of corporate membership of HKIE or equivalent professional membership / qualification.
  • Experience in design, installation & operation of building services systems, energy audit and building energy assessment & management.
  • Experience in project management and contract administration.
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of CLP Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage.
  • Possession of construction safety card.
