Description
- Direct Materials Procurement: Manage the end-to-end procurement process for direct materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing to meet production and operational needs.
- Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality, including price negotiations, volume consolidation, and alternative sourcing options.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with contracts, and resolving issues effectively.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier capabilities to inform procurement strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for supplier agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors affecting material availability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Reporting: Track and report on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience focused on direct materials
- Proven success in driving cost-saving initiatives and delivering measurable results.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
- Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Fluency in English
