Job Summary:

HK Disneyland seeks a Senior HR Manager to lead our Cast Engagement, Labor and Employee Relations, and Diversity and Inclusion strategy, processes and programs. The Cast Engagement function is responsible for promoting and enabling an inspiring, supportive, fair and inclusive work culture and practices that uphold and extend the company’s employment brand.

This position will manage a small team of HR partners who act as trusted advisors to the business on matters of strategic employee engagement, diversity and inclusion through to labor and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable pride of association and belonging and connection to Disney heritage by developing and overseeing cast engagement programs which promote a fun, open, inspiring, diverse and inclusive work culture
  • Champion positive employee and labor relations through strong partnerships with key internal cast groups
  • Develop a cast engagement and employee relations center of expertise supporting the HRBP team, including protocols for understanding employee sentiment and handling of employee concerns that support a fair and inclusive workplace
  • Respond to employee concerns and complaints of potential unlawful behavior, such as discrimination and harassment, or that violate Company policies, by supporting the investigation team in conducting timely internal investigations independently or in conjunction with HR Business Partners and other business partners, evaluate findings and recommend and support appropriate disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
  • Research and respond to agency claims, including Labor Department, Labor Tribunal, EOC and union grievances as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • People management experience
  • Understanding of what drives employee engagement, business culture, diversity and inclusion
  • Knowledge of HK employment law and practices
  • Ability to consult, respond to inquiries and influence a wide variety of key stakeholders
  • Creative and strategic problem solving skills; ability to effectively resolve conflict
  • Advanced communication skills; analyzes, interprets, and provides key and complex communication to team members, clients, and partners, both written and orally
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to research, consolidate data and formulate observations/recommendations
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in a manner that inspires confidence and trust
  • Ability to execute against multiple high priority projects through exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Resilience to work within a complex organization and find creative solutions
  • Proven collaboration skills with the ability to gain consensus through personal influence
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and the courage to challenge organizational thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to invite diverse perspectives, promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity
  • Chinese (Cantonese), oral and written is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Employee Relations experience in large employer preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or related work experience required
