Description

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of high-profile arts and culture events across global markets. You will work closely with senior management to align event strategies with organisational goals and ensure seamless execution. This role requires a proactive, hands-on individual who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver exceptional experiences.

 

You will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of major arts and culture events, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience engagement. Collaboration with senior management and various stakeholders will be essential to develop event concepts, budgets, and time lines. Bilingual fluency in English and Chinese will enable effective communication with international teams, sponsors, and vendors.

 

This person will also manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations. Mentoring and guiding junior team members will be part of your role, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Additionally, you will oversee event budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Conducting post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement will also be key.

Profile

Our client is looking for candidates with 8-10 years of experience in event management, specifically within the arts and culture sector. A bachelor's degree in Event Management, Arts Administration, or a related field is required. Bilingual skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) are essential, along with proficiency in event management software and tools, and strong capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Prior experience in Heritage site converted exhibitions a plus.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects independently.

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, with an ability to engage diverse audiences. A creative problem solver who can think critically and adapt quickly to changing circumstances will thrive in this role.
