Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• planning, developing, coordinating and delivering courses (including face-to-face and distance learning modes) in related disciplines at the undergraduate, taught and research postgraduate levels;
• giving guidance to students in the capacity of academic adviser;
• undertaking/engaging in programme administration/development and scholarly activities; and
• participating in School/University activities and administration.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• a higher degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in an area related to education; and
• a good network with local and some overseas early childhood education organizations will be an advantage; and
• a good knowledge of the special education in Early Childhood is strongly preferred; and
• a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).

Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the appointment as Lecturer.
