Our client is a recognized leader in their industry and with an enviable record of success, they are now further expanding their operations in China and looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to drive their digitalization program.
About the role
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful execution within scope, timeline, and budget. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive IT initiatives from planning to implementation while maintaining high-quality standards. You will own project deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints as well as define project scope, create detailed plans, and oversee execution with clear milestones and deliverables. Working with the team, you will proactively identify risks, assess impact, and implement mitigation strategies with regular reporting to stakeholders. Implement structured change control processes to manage scope adjustments effectively for both Hong Kong and new China initiatives especially on their on-going ERP transformation.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years in software development, system integration, or cloud/on-premise architecture design
- Proven track record in managing mid-to-large-scale IT projects (package-based, bespoke, or cloud solutions).
- Strong background in stakeholder management, including vendors and offshore teams and knowledge of data analytics, R, Python, or scripting is a plus.
- Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification also an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation
- Expertise in vendor contract compliance and vendor governance
- Understanding of technology currently installed across the enterprise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good command in Chinese and English
