We are currently recruiting:

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake environmental field measurements, field data analysis as well as preparing technical reports in air quality, noise, waste water compliance or other field measurements related to the operating railway
• Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders to complete necessary field measurements
• Handle complaints and undertake inspection as required; liaise with relevant stakeholders to follow up and close out the complaints
• Coordinate and undertake site work and inspection which may be outside normal office hours; identify any potential compliance issues and improvement action(s), prepare inspection reports
• Establish and maintain a computer automated system to support the sectional documentation control system, including drawings, records of field measurements and complaints
• Support technology search, prepare testing protocol and subsequent trial for environmental performance improvement

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant environmental experience, of which 1 year gained in the operating railway environment is preferred
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and good communication skills
• Proficiency in writing skills and use of Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of computer programming, smart environmental technology application and related environmental legislation / regulation, particularly the Noise Control Ordinance is an advantage
