Senior Engineer (Ref. 19021807-E2)

Duties

The appointee will join the Technical Services Stream and be required to:

(a) assist in formulating Stream development strategies and participate in Stream management;

(b) develop, lead and conduct teaching and hands-on learning subjects at degree and sub-degree levels including preparation of teaching materials and supervision of student projects;

(c) assist in teaching and learning programme design, development and administration;

(d) undertake R&D and consultancy activities; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director, Industrial Centre or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Engineering related disciplines plus not less than five years of solid Engineering and supervisory experience;

(b) good hands-on experience in mechanical CAD design and various manufacturing processes;

(c) the ability to work with people from different background to undertake technical development projects;

(d) strong project management and leadership skills; and

(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and preferably with fluency in Putonghua.

Preference will be given to those with a master’s degree and knowledge of/experience in SAP and/or product costing.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
