Responsibilities:

• Investigating and assessing the site information / potential site constraints for the development projects
• Planning and supervising the construction of Landscape Works, preservation and protection of existing trees
• Carrying out duties as assigned by the Supervising officer or his Representatives

Requirements:

• Professional Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects (HKILA) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) or equivalent qualification; (Candidate with insufficient post-qualification experience but passed the PPE exam of HKILA may be considered);
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in landscape architecture and with previous hard & soft landscape contract site experience in Hong Kong government projects are essential;
• Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note: grade “E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” Chinese language and English language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth);
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin is not mandatory but preferred;
• Holder of Certified Arborist or equivalent is in advantage;
• Good design and documentation skills and knowledge in tree management are required; and
• Adequate knowledge in AutoCAD, other computer-aid design programme; and passing the selection interview conducted by the Employer or his representative.
