We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out co-ordination work for the project of “Hong Kong Science Park Expansion Stage 2”:

Resident Engineer (Ref. JD_20022RE)
The minimum qualifications required for the post of Resident Engineer shall be as follows:

Qualification:

• Registered Professional Engineer (Structural). For holders of qualification in the field of Structural Engineering Discipline, appropriate experience in structural engineering design and practice is required;
• 3 years’ of post-qualification experience in the field of Superstructure Works

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Achieve at least the minimum standard of supervision equivalent to a resident structural engineer working in the Architectural Services Department / Housing Authority or relevant experience. The normal duties are outlined in Local Manual No. 4 issued by Architectural Services Department.
• Ensure that the Structural Engineering Works are carried out in accordance with the design assumptions, specifications, contract requirements, and good engineering practice.
• Assist the Architect in the contract administration with respect to Structural Engineering Works.
• Monitor the performance of contractors and sub-contractors.
• Carry out any other duties as stated in Development Bureau Technical Circulars, Architectural Services Department Local Manual No. 4, Project Administration Handbook & Structural Engineering Instructions when acting as Resident Structural Engineer.
• Carry out any other duties specified by the Structural Engineer due to the nature of structural engineering works required in the project.
• Supervise and monitor the implementation of the Safety Plan/Contractor’s site safety obligations set out in the contract
• Oversee the Contractor for implementing an effective safety management system and ensuring all persons working on the Site are aware of and comply with the safety requirements stipulated in the Contractor’s Safety Plan and obligations set out in the contract.

Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 24 months commencing immediately with possible extension subject to works condition. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and experience.
