Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 520072) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

We are looking for highly motivated candidate(s) to work for a primary care pharmacy service evaluation project under Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, LKS Faculty of Medicine. It is a Hong Kong’s first territory-wide evaluation study to examine and assess the effectiveness of pharmacy services in community pharmacies in primary care.  The findings from this project will improve the current practice of pharmacy services and provide a framework for future developments.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in healthcare-related or social sciences disciplines including but not limited to pharmacy, psychology, public health, social work and social administration or a related field with substantial training in qualitative research. Experience in conducting qualitative studies (e.g. patient recruitment, conducting individual and/or focus group interviews, designing questionnaires for survey studies, data collection and analysis using qualitative methods) will be an advantage. Applicants should have excellent coordination, organization and problem-solving skills, a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese), a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

The appointee will assist the Postdoctoral fellows and/or Project Principal Investigators in the overall management of the project. He/She will assist in patient recruitment, data collection in community pharmacies, face-to-face interviews (individual or focus group), surveys, data management and analysis, manuscript writing, handle inquiries from related parties and/or perform other duties as assigned.
