Responsibilities 

• Identify and solicit professional associations, foundations, charity trusts and clubs sponsorship for various fundraising activities and events;
• Apply funding from foundations, private trusts, legacy, Chinese/China owned corporates and high-net-worth individuals for service projects and programmes;
• Communicate and present to funding bodies; attend events and present on behalf of the Cancer Fund;
• Handle major asks funding and relationships;
• Proposal writing and presentation for funding opportunities;
• Check and follow up on timely reports to funding bodies, and
• Develop retention programme to maintain relationship with funding bodies.

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant fields;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in public relations, proposal writing or business liaisons;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
• A mature team player who can work independently; confident and able to convey the Cancer Fund’s messages clearly;
• Able to multi-task, being aware of schedules and deadlines;
• Attention to detail;
• Proficient in MS office applications, and 
• Candidates who have worked in NGOs or having a passion to improve the livelihoods of people in the community will be a plus.
