Company Overview
The Law Society seeks applications from enthusiastic, responsible person to fill the position of Registration Officer in the Compliance Department.
Job Duties:
- To deal with matters in relation to admission of solicitors;
- To handle the renewal applications for practising certificates and membership;
- To handle the registration of foreign lawyer and trainee solicitor contracts;
- To handle the applications for admission as solicitors by trainee solicitors;
- To establish and maintain proper records of members and firms in the membership database;
- To handle enquiries and matters in relation to admission and registration;
- To assist in the publication of the Law List; and
- To assist with ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education with a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- 4 years of relevant experience, experience in the legal field is an advantage;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Chinese Word Processing;
- Good telephone manner;
- A good team player, organized and hardworking; and
- Immediately available is highly preferred.
