The Institute focuses on interdisciplinary research of digital innovation and businesses in the digital era. It hosts the University's Professors and research fellows who have expertise on digital economy and innovation, with a focus on three contemporary innovation propellers: intelligent technologies, data analytics, and digital transformation. Post A: Manual Video and Image Coding (2 Positions Available)
Applicants should have a recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and computer literacy. They should meticulously label and code videos and images based on predetermined criteria. Their key duties include:
Post B: Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision (1 Position Available)
Applicants should have a recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Computer Science), with a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and computer literacy. They should be fluent in Python and possess at least one year of experience in either natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision (CV). For NLP, experience in topic modelling, sentiment analysis, and semantic analysis would be an advantage; whereas for CV, experience in video segmentation, gesture recognition, and object detection would be a competitive edge.
The appointee will assist in the research by (1) manually coding data from videos and images, or (2) implementing NLP or CV techniques for text and video mining. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
Please note that applicants should be Hong Kong residents who do not need a visa to work in Hong Kong, and existing staff of the University are not eligible for this post.
