Duties: The appointee will provide programme management and teaching support to programmes in the subject area ranging from Higher Diploma to Postgraduate level. Specifically, he/she should be able to teach a combination from the following subjects areas related to sport, recreation and exercise: Sport Coaching, Exercise Sciences, Research, Planning, Policy and Professional Development, Sport Facility Management, Sport Event Management, Strategic Planning for Sport.
He/she will be required to provide academic support to both full-time and part-time programmes, guidance to students, assist in the development of new programmes, attend meetings as requested and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in sports exercise science, recreation management or a relevant discipline, and experience in teaching relevant subjects at post secondary level. Good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and manage resources, and excellent command of written and spoken English. Experience in programme management and knowledge in Chinese will be a definite advantage.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
