Duties: The appointee will assist the programme leader in planning, organizing and operating various programmes. The scope of duties includes co-ordination and liaison with students, teachers and professional bodies, performing academic and administrative duties, maintaining student and course records, and handling student matters and inquiries. He/She will also assist to prepare reports for Board and Committees, assist the subject group leader in implementing development plans, preparing annual budgets, and performing other duties as assigned. Overtime work during weekday evening or weekend may be required.
Requirements: Candidates should have a recognized degree with 4 years relevant experience. Experience in programme management support is required. He/she should be analytical, meticulous, detail-minded, and able to work independently under pressure. He/she should also have a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be a good team player. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), proficiency in e-learning technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing are required. Preference will be given to those with working experience in library and information science discipline.
Terms of Appointment: The working hours of this 60% fractional post is normally not less than 23 hours/week. Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
