COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree Programme and Undergraduate Honours Degree Programmes at both the HKBU Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses. The CIE, managed by the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU, currently enrolls about 5,000 students, and is committed to sustaining the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position:

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating and providing administrative support for matters related to quality assurance including curriculum development. He/She is required to perform the following major duties: a) consolidating data for statistical analyses and reporting; b) providing secretarial support to committees; c) providing logistics support in the events of the College and School; and d) assisting in execution of initiatives of the College and School.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience. They should have excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), effective communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills, proficiency in computer applications including MS Office application (English and Chinese), and have good knowledge in compiling of statistical data. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Programme Administrator.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment. The appointee will be required to serve at Shatin Shek Mun campus.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
