Responsibilities:

• deliver sports skills training courses and fitness training courses;
• coach College Sports Teams and handle related administration and logistics, including training and competition schedule arrangement and budget preparation;
• organize inter-institutional sports competitions and invitation games and college-wide sports events, such as annual marathon and Athletic Meet; and
• supervise the PE attendants to monitor the operation and safety of different sports venues and equipment.

Applicants should:

• possess a recognized degree, preferably in Management / Physical Education / Sports / Recreation for appointment as Physical Education Officer;
• have at least 3 years’ relevant working experience;
• have recognized coaching certification, issued by the respective national sports bodies, preferably in athletic, swimming, cross country, basketball, badminton, fencing, volleyball, squash or soccer is preferred;
• possess a valid first aid certificate;
• have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
• have effective administrative abilities and strong organizational skills;
• have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
• have the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Candidates with less academic qualification / less work experience will be considered as Assistant Physical Education Officer. Candidate with work experience in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage. The appointee will be required to work outside normal office hours and weekends.
